Gmail Gets Smarter: Introduce Drag-and-Drop Feature
Google has introduced a new feature in the Gmail app for smartphones, simplifying the process of managing recipient lists. This update enables users to easily drag and drop recipient names between the ‘To’, ‘CC’, and ‘BCC’ fields while composing emails, making the email-sending process more intuitive. According to Android Police, the feature aims to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
This functionality is particularly useful for avoiding mistakes when adding multiple recipients to an email, as users sometimes inadvertently place names in the wrong fields. With the new drag-and-drop system, such errors can be quickly corrected by moving the name to the appropriate section.
Google stated that this feature, previously available in Gmail's web version, is now rolling out to Android-powered smartphones. However, it is currently limited to users subscribed to Google’s One AI Premium Plans, Enterprise, and Education accounts.
This improvement highlights Google’s efforts to make email communication more seamless for professional and educational users.
